Nikon interview: more new lenses to come
Dpreview has an interesting interview with Nikon managers, mostly about the new AF-S 35/1.8 but also featuring a few interesting statements:
“It’s about price, size and weight. We wanted this to be a lens for the entry-level. If we’d tried to make an FX 35mm F1.4 it might cost €1400, rather than €200, and we wanted to make sure it was an affordable lens.”
“This is not the last lens announcement we’ll be making this year.“

New primes from Nikon?
Nikon Australia has listed the Nikon AF 85/1.4 lens as, I quote
“out of production, discontinued or no longer available in your country”
I hope that this is a sign for the announcement of some very good new primes…
