A few hours before the offical start here are the specs for the new Nikon D810, the successor to the much loved D800:
- 36 Megapixel
- No optical low pass filter (like in the D800E) so very sharp pictures
- Still no 4k video, but added 50/60p
- Improved auto focus including the Group Area AF from the pro model D4s
- Improved ISO 64-12800 (and 32-51200 in extended mode)
- Fast Expeed 4 image processing engine
- Improved shutter with reduced shutter lag and quieter operation
- Metering mode button moved to the main control dial, BKT moves to the front
- Screen with upgraded resolution including a new split screen mode for architecture
- Initial pricing at £ 2,700
