Nikon unveiles a new DX Nikkor designed “for extreme close-up photography, yet perfectly suited for portrait, nature, and general imaging”, the Nikon AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 85/3.5G VR. It focuses as close as 0.9 ft. and gives 1:1 magnification.

Nikon also announced a completely redesigned version of it’s tele zoom AF-S 70-200mm F/2.8G ED VR II with far better performance on the FX format and an improved VR.

Nikon also announced a new ultra-wideangle zoom for DX format DSLR, the AF-S DX 10-24 F3.5-4.5G ED.

Dpreview has an interesting interview with Nikon managers, mostly about the new AF-S 35/1.8 but also featuring a few interesting statements:
