Louis Pang has written an interesting review about the Nikon D3s and the new 70-200/2.8 VRII showing some interesting high ISO pictures. The review is based on the shooting of a wedding and according to him, ISO 12800 is very good and even ISO 25600 seems to be usable!

Nikon D3s: high speed and video
Nikon introduces a new version of its professional DSLR D3: the Nikon D3s features 720p HD video recording and an astonishing sensitivity of up to ISO 102,400. The camera also has an increased buffer size for 48 RAW frames, a faster contrast detect AF in Live View and in-camera RAW-processing. To the Nikon press release.
Nikon D300s, the upgrade to the D300
Nikon introduces the Nikon D300s as an upgrade to the sucessfull mid-level DSLR D300. The main differences:
- 720p HD video with autofocus while recording (a major improvement)
- socket for external microphone
- quiet drive mode (a long awaited feature!)
- improved continuous shooting (7fps vs. 6fps)
- Live View and Info buttons
- own ‘OK’ button in multi controller
- virtual horizon
- SD card slot in addition to existing CF slot (probably a concession to upgraders)
All in all, not a major upgrade but a good one!
Nikon D3000
Nikon presents it’s new compact DSLR, the Nikon D3000. It will replace the Nikon D60 and features a 10MP DX-format CCD sensor, a 3fps continuous shooting rate, a large 3.0 inch LCD, a 11-point AF system with 3D tracking (probably the same as in the D5000).
