Canon had a hard time in the everlasting megapixel race, fans where asking themselves when Canon would have an answer to the 36 Megapixel challenge of the Nikon D800/D810 – now the answer is here:
The new Canon EOS 5Ds features a 50.6 Megapixel full-frame sensor. They also offer a EOS 5Ds R where the effect of the low pass filter has been cancelled out, just the same as Nikon did with the old D800/D800E.

- 1080/30p video but no microphone socket and no HDMI out
